An exciting period of change for our Vancouver client has created the opportunity for us to find a personable change-agent and technically strong CPA for this Assistant Controller role. </p> <p>As a key member of this dynamic head office group, this role will work strategically with all lines of business while supporting the Controller as a key contributor to the financial reporting function. You will also lead & mentor a small team of CPA’s and CPA Students and help them grow and excel in their careers. From a technical perspective, experience with fund accounting and reporting for restricted contributions will make you a great fit for this role. </p> <p>Equally important, our client is looking for someone who loves to ‘tell the story’ and get buy-in from various internal stakeholders for the financial and management reports you deliver. Please apply quickly if you wish to be considered as this opportunity will not be available for long! </p> <p>TMGVC </p> <p><p><b>Job Requirements: </b> </p> </p> <li>A Canadian CPA designation is required. </li> <li>Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices, ideally including those appropriate for a non-profit. </li> <li>Experience with fund accounting and reporting for restricted contributions. </li> <li>3+ years of experience in a financial reporting function. </li> <li>2+ years of experience mentoring a team of 2 or more accounting staff, ideally including CPA students pursing their designations. </li> <li>5+ years of total experience in an accounting capacity. </li> <li>Experience communicating with an audience across multiple departments within a company a differentiator. </li> <li>Detail oriented, highly adaptable, self-motivated and personable. </li> <li>A passionate change agent. </li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required along with a high degree of business acumen. </li> <li>The ability to deal respectfully with all people and situations with honesty and integrity. </li> ApplyCreate Your Resume First
