<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>The Assistant Location Director provides and coordinates the necessary support, resources, supervision and leadership to ensure the provision of nurturing care and education to young children in a group setting, in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the program, with the philosophy and policies of 1st Class and in strict compliance with Alberta Childcare Licensing Act.</p><p><br /></p><p>The Assistant Location Director reports to the Program Director and Management Team</p><p><br /></p><p>Duties and Responsibilities</p><p><br /></p><p> Works with and supports the Director to ensures and facilitate the smooth functioning of all aspects of the program in order to best serve the children and families<br /> Works with the Director to provide supervision, leadership and support to all program staff<br /> Ensures licensing requirements are met at all times<br /> Works along side the Director to plan and coordinate monthly plans and curriculum<br /> Ensures all materials and supplies are ordered and communicated to <span >Director/Management</span> for approval<br /> Consults, supports and provides guidance to staff in evaluating and revising programming as required<br /> Develops and maintains positive relationships and regular communication with parents<br /> Provides supervision, support and leadership to the children<br /> Ensures program spaces are clean and organized at all times<br /> Ensures all toys and materials are clean, maintained and developmentally appropriate at all times<br /> Ensures they know the number of children in the program at all times as well as their names and details of their interests and important family unit information<br /> Prepares and maintains program for Licensing and Health<br /> Performs other related duties as requested by the management team<br /> Is aware of all Location Director duties and is able to competently perform each in the Location Directors absence.</p><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications</p><p><br /></p><p> Must have a flexible schedule and be available for all hours that the program is open and be available to cover shifts within the program<br /> Must have a minimum Level 2 - Early Childhood Educator Certificate (or enrolled to complete)<br /> Must have up to date Police Clearance<br /> Must have valid CPR and First Aid Certificate</p><p>** Must have valid drivers license</p><p><br /></p><p>We have policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of our staff and the children.</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
