Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB’s mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous, and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed, and delivered in Canada.
The Senior Manager, Investments (Bilingual) is an active member of the CIB Investments team, involved in screening, due diligence, and executing investment opportunities. Responsibilities include screening potential investments, performing financial modeling, conducting sector analysis, completing transaction due diligence, drafting investment memoranda, and participating in decision-making processes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in infrastructure deals, corporate finance, and investment banking, with 6 to 12 years of direct experience in P3 or project finance at the Senior Manager level.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing a pipeline of investment opportunities by maintaining a network across Canada’s public and private sectors and the infrastructure industry.
- Leading due diligence on potential investments.
- Managing financial and infrastructure modeling, valuation analyses, and other financial assessments.
- Preparing and presenting proposals and pitchbooks.
- Sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities.
Ideal profile:
- Fluent bilingual in English and French, oral and written.
- 6–12 years of infrastructure investing experience.
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Accounting is an asset.
- CFA or CPA certifications are assets.
- Experience with Public-Private Partnership models, cost of service, revenue, and project finance structures.
- Experience with revenue and risk-transfer models through debt or equity perspectives.
- Experience in technical, volume, and production due diligence is an asset.
- Experience across all stages of infrastructure deal cycles, including negotiations and stakeholder management.
- Experience working with government agencies is an asset.
- Strong project management, collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage junior staff, workflows, and deadlines.
