<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Company Description<br><br><p>Located in the heart of Canada&#39;s capital next door to the Parliament Buildings, the landmark Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa is looking to fill a role of Bilingual Bellperson (Part-Time).  </p><p><strong>What is in it for you: </strong></p><ul><li>Wonderful company culture - our colleagues are at the heart of all that we do</li><li>Food & Beverage discount of 50% in our restaurants</li><li>Employee benefit card offering discounted rates in Accor worldwide for you and your family</li><li>Learning programs through our academies designed to sharpen your skills</li><li>Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, like Planet 21</li><li>Comprehensive extended health benefits package</li><li>Full rate of pay of $19.15/hour</li></ul>Job Description<br><br><p>Reporting to the Concierge Team, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:</p><ul><li>Provide outstanding service to our internal and external guests</li><li>Welcome every guest to Fairmont Château Laurier with professionalism and friendliness</li><li>Provide guests with a superior first and last impression of the hotel</li><li>Ensure safety of colleagues and guests by working safely</li><li>Delivery of hotel luggage and amenities, keeping hotel lobby clean, providing luggage check service, directing guests and answering guest inquiries, tour luggage pick-up and delivery</li><li>Assist the Lobby Concierge Team when required</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul>Qualifications<br><br><ul><li>Fluency in both spoken and written French and English is mandatory due to the diverse clientele.</li><li>Friendly personality and desire to work in a team-based environment</li><li>Previous customer contact experience</li><li>Proven guest excellence, good knowledge of local restaurants and attractions</li><li>Extremely outgoing personality is required</li><li>Remains calm and courteous at all times</li></ul><br><br>Additional Information<br><br><p><strong>Physical Aspects of Position (included but not limited to):</strong></p><ul><li>Constant standing and walking throughout shift</li><li>Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs</li><li>Frequent loading, pushing and pulling of luggage carts weighing up to 500 lbs</li><li>Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting</li></ul><p>Fairmont Château Laurier is proud to provide employment accommodation during the recruitment process.
