If you answered yes to these questions, working for a Desjardins independent contractor agent may be the career for you!</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.</li><li>Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.</li><li>Take personal responsibility for contributing your fair share to the team&#39;s daily, weekly, monthly, and annual, sales and service goals. Only apply if you are the type of person who makes things happen - you will be rewarded. Those who want to just show up each day, and wait to see what happens, who calls, or walks in, need not apply - you won&#39;t like it here, because we don&#39;t like people who don&#39;t carry their weight.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Sales experience preferred (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing). </li><li><strong>Track record of exceeding sales goals/quotas</strong> preferred-<strong> HIGH ACHIEVERS ONLY - NO FREELOADERS.</strong></li><li><strong>Fluent in English and one other language</strong> (written, verbal, and listening)</li><li><strong>Friendly, ethical, polite, and outgoing personality</strong>- likes interacting with clients</li><li><strong>Proactive</strong> in setting goals, priorities, and in problem-solving.</li><li><strong>Dedicated</strong> to serving our clients protection needs</li><li>Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, and <strong>correctly identify and take action on highest priority activities first</strong>, ahead of lower priority items.</li><li>Ability to explain, and <strong>educate clients</strong> about potential risks, and the appropriate insurance protection solutions.</li><li>Property & Casualty license (must be able to obtain soon after hiring)</li><li>Life and Accident & Sickness license (must be able to obtain soon after hiring)</li></ul><p><em> </em></p><p><em>These positions are with an independent contractor agent that is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries.
