<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Lorax Environmental Services Ltd. is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team at the Vancouver, BC office for a full-time position. This role blends administrative project support with advanced bookkeeping responsibilities, such as managing accounts <span >payable/receivable.</span> We are a growing company and require an assistant with full-cycle accounting experience. This position offers an opportunity to work with a highly motivated team of professionals. This position is full-time on-site at Lorax’s Vancouver office.</p>Key responsibilities of the position:<ul><li>Manage timesheets, accounts payable & receivable efficiently and accurately</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial records </li><li>Assist in administrative tasks according to the instructions of the project management and ensure a smooth flow of communication between all parties involved, including deadline management and deliverables</li><li>Assist in drafting accruals and invoices in support of Project Accountant</li><li>Perform relief front office duties including reception, report formatting, shipping/courier coordination, when required</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>Qualifications for this role include:<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of work experience in a <span >bookkeeping/accounting</span> position.</li></ul><ul><li>Degree or certification in <span >bookkeeping/accounting.</span></li><li>Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office</li><li>Experience with administrative and office support.</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills for interfacing with team members with technical backgrounds as well as clients, collaborating consultants, and other stakeholders. Experience in a service-oriented industry would be an asset.</li><li>Strong understanding of <span >accounting/bookkeeping</span> principles and practices</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry & record keeping</li><li>Good time management skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a group/team environment</li><li>Be reliable and trustworthy</li></ul>Assets beneficial for this role:<ul><li>Good communication skills and team spirit</li><li>Good analytical skills</li><li>Project scheduling expertise</li><li>A high level of personal responsibility and self-discipline</li><li>Advanced accounting experience and Excel skills </li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Lorax Environmental Services Ltd. is an employee-owned environmental consulting company that has been providing leading-edge services to mining, hydropower, wind energy, oil and gas, and government regulatory agencies globally since 1996.
