Cloud Applications Engineer - Live Media Systems


In this position, you will work within a dynamic team of project engineers deploying Live Media applications to various cloud services and architectures. You will understand each customer's requirements and constraints and aid in constructing their solution via IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Your work will mainly involve developing solutions for the deployment of our applications, use‑cases, and systems.


Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with the project team on deployments of Evertz systems to the cloud.

  • Understand customer requirements and build out solutions via Infrastructure as Code.

  • Interface with customers on solution requirements and deployment.

  • Create API‑driven system deployments.

  • Support internal teams with building environments for testing and validation of customer solutions.

  • Build and maintain system dashboards.

  • Aid in the design and integration of cloud services.

  • Work in a fast‑paced, iterative development environment of industry‑leading products and technology.

  • Learn quickly, work independently and exercise strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.

  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications



  • Working knowledge of at least one cloud provider: AWS, GCP, Azure.

  • Knowledge of cloud‑based redundancy and network architecture: load balancing, AZs, auto‑scaling.

  • Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tooling: Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Puppet.

  • Experience with platform‑specific infrastructure‑as‑code tooling: CloudFormation, ARM.

  • Knowledge of system observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch.

  • Experience deploying and maintaining container‑based solutions: Docker, Kubernetes.

  • Proficiency with Linux‑based systems.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Bash.

  • Education in Electronics/Electrical/Computing/Software/Broadcasting or a related field.

  • Cloud platform certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, GCP Cloud Engineer) is an asset.
