Job Description

<p><b>SUMMARY:</b></p><p><b>To write CNC programs utilizing MasterCam and Solid Works.</b></p><p><br></p><p><b>DUTIES:</b></p><p><b> Program various CNC machines 2-5 axes using Mastercam and Solidworks;</b></p><p><b> Select appropriate cutting tools for optimum results.</b></p><p><b> Design fixtures and setup methods for most efficient machining.</b></p><p><b> Generate clear and accurate documentation necessary for manufacturing.</b></p><p><br></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p><ul><li>Experience in a CNC programming and knowledge of Mastercam and SolidWorks. Experience with any other programming or 3D modeling software will be also considered.</li><li>Heavy metal fabricating & machining experience an asset</li><li>Good knowledge of G-code and MS Office (Word, Excel).</li></ul><p> Macro programming is an asset.</p><p> Solid understanding of machining processes and techniques, good knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.</p><p> Thorough understanding and interpreting of engineering drawings.</p><ul><li>Must be proficient at building own 3D models, programming from surfaces and solids.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure in a multidisciplinary team.</li><li>Results oriented with a strong work ethic.</li><li>Strong analytical skills.</li><li>Ability to learn software and programs very quickly.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>EDUCATION</b></p><ul><li>Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of work and experience.</li><li>Trade Certification or machining experience is an asset.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b> LANGUAGE SKILLS:</b></p><ul><li>Ability to communicate effectively in English</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Job Type :</b> Full-Time</p><p><b>Work Location : </b>Richmond (In-Person)</p><p><b>Salary Range : </b>$70,000.00 - $85,000.00</p>
