Base pay range
CA$121,800.00/yr - CA$162,400.00/yr
Job Title: Corporate | Commercial Litigation Lawyer Our client, a multi-practice, highly-respected Calgary firm, is looking for a 5+ year corporate commercial litigation lawyer for their team. The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years' experience in a broad range of commercial litigation matters. A book of business is not required.
Responsibilities
- Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs and trials
- Work as part of a team with all levels of experiences
- Routine communications with clients
- Cultivate relationships with the firm's existing and future clients
- Provide leadership and direction with respect to less experienced attorneys
Qualifications
- JD from an FLSC approved school
- 5+ years of experience solid corporate commercial litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation
- Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial
- Experience with time management systems
- Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision
- Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
