This internship is ideal for beginners looking to build strong foundational skills in cybersecurity practices, threat analysis, compliance, and risk management. <strong>No prior professional experience is required.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Learn and assist in identifying security vulnerabilities across networks, systems, and applications.</li><li>Support basic security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing activities.</li><li>Monitor security alerts and assist with investigating potential incidents.</li><li>Help implement security best practices and policies to protect digital assets.</li><li>Gain exposure to SIEM tools and security monitoring platforms.</li><li>Assist with creating incident response documentation and security reports.</li><li>Support compliance efforts and basic risk assessments aligned with industry standards.</li><li>Learn about network security concepts, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access control.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Currently pursuing or recently completed a B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MSc in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, Information Systems, or a related field.</li><li>Basic understanding of computer networking fundamentals.</li><li>Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux or Windows.</li><li>Interest in cybersecurity concepts, threat detection, and system protection.</li><li>Strong analytical mindset, curiosity, and attention to detail.</li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Basic knowledge of networking tools or platforms.</li><li>Exposure to vulnerability scanning or penetration testing tools.</li><li>Introductory experience with scripting (Python or Bash).</li><li>Awareness of cybersecurity frameworks or compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2).</li><li>Familiarity with common cyber threats and attack methodologies.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What You'll Gain</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Hands-on exposure to real-world cybersecurity operations and defensive strategies.</li><li>Practical experience with vulnerability assessment, security monitoring, and incident response.</li><li><strong>1:1 mentorship</strong> from experienced cybersecurity professionals.</li><li><strong>Internship Certificate and Letter of Recommendation</strong> upon successful completion.</li><li>Opportunity for a <strong>Pre-Placement Offer (PPO)</strong> with SalesPilot 365 or partner client companies.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Stipend</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Starting stipend of <strong>C$25 per hour</strong>, with potential increases based on performance in assessments and interviews.</li></ul>
