Required Skills & Experience

– Bachelor of Engineering degree and 5+ years work experience

– Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis and data visualisation tools, such as Excel, Python and PowerBI. Master of manipulation of large data sets



– Understanding of engine performance calibration testing, trend monitoring practices and engine control systems

– Experience with field and line maintenance activities and demonstrated understanding of engine performance health trending along with knowledge of the ICA management.

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Customer Engineer/Data Scientist to join the Digital Engine Services team at a leading aerospace company onsite in Longueuil, QC.

The Customer Engineer/Data Scientist will be responsible to monitor engine performance and operability health trends for selected engines as a daily data analysis service. The candidate will be responsible for the review of engine anomalies, trend shifts and identify deterioration symptoms & signatures.

The candidate will also be responsible to provide proactive recommendations through direct contact with customers and work in close cooperation with internal support teams to identify fleet availability and reliability drivers and opportunities for continuous improvement. The candidate will also be required to assist field service personnel in technical troubleshooting and AOG support as required and define new proactive engine health indicators.



Key Responsibilities


– Analyze engine performance and health trends daily.

– Identify and assess engine anomalies, trend shifts, and deterioration symptoms.


– Provide daily health trend status reports to Customer Support.

– Enhance detection tools and processes, implement improvements, and monitor service quality.


– Assess engine FADEC fault codes, exceedances, and other events.

– Compare actual vs. planned power usage through detailed mission and utilization analysis.



– Define services and algorithms to reduce potential field events and improve fleet performance.

– Review oil analysis reports and trends to provide health assessments.


– Maximize engine time on wing and design customized recommendations for operators.

– Provide proactive recommendations through direct contact with customers and internal teams.


This role is 5x week onsite in Longueuil, QC.
