On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Delphi Developer for a permanent role. This position is an onsite position with 5 days onsite at our client's Toronto office.
Delphi Developer - Job Description:
We are seeking a Delphi Developer with expertise in Delphi (Object Pascal) to support and enhance client-server applications. The role involves working on application development, including web components and integrating with enterprise systems. This opportunity allows for career growth in software and data development, collaborating on enterprise projects.
Delphi Developer - Responsibilities:
• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of applications using Delphi (from Delphi 7 to the latest versions).
• Support client-server application development, including web components such as REST, Ajax, or Python integrations.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases.
• Create and maintain reports using tools like Crystal Reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, data inconsistencies, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with senior developers to implement system enhancements.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and documentation of code and processes.
• Maintain and improve existing legacy Delphi applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
Delphi Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer or Programmer.
• Strong experience developing applications with Delphi (Object Pascal), from Delphi 7 to the latest versions.
• Experience with client-server architectures; some exposure to web components (REST, Ajax, Python) is a plus.
• Experience with SQL Server and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Delphi Developer - Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Basic knowledge of data warehouse concepts.
• Experience in transportation, supply chain, or related domains.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

This is a permanent position.
