Job Description

<p><h3>POSITION SUMMARY</h3>
<p>This role reports to Manager of Digital Solutions- Learning & Instructional design and works closely with Clinical Applications and Project Management Innovation Office, as well as clinical and non-clinical staff to gain a thorough understanding of the Dovetale, clinical systems and the associated workflows to ensure a comprehensive training approach.</p>
<h3>QUALIFICATIONS</h3>
<ul>
<li>Undergraduate Degree in Education, Health Informatics or Health Sciences required</li>
<li>A diploma or certification in Informatics or Adult Learning or Regulated Health Professional is considered an asset</li>
<li>Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional design required</li>
<li>Previous experience in education delivery utilizing Adult Learning Principles required</li>
<li>Previous Epic software experience/certification is an asset</li>
<li>Previous project/systems implementation experience required</li>
<li>Experience in a health-care environment – basic understanding of clinical workflows and terminology preferred</li>
<li>A valid travel document for travelling to the Unites States is required.</li>
</ul>
<h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3>
<ul>
<li>Strong adult education skills – developing, preparing and delivering education</li>
<li>The ability to probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with project team members and subject matter experts and follow-up on identified training issues</li>
<li>Ability and interest to learn the software and increase knowledge over time and eagerness to promote it within the organization</li>
<li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.); Visio experience is an asset</li>
<li>Strong organization, problem solving and analytical skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to work equally well as a member of a team or alone to carry out project activities, resilience, and creativity are essential</li>
<li>Innovative, results and detail oriented</li>
<li>Possesses a solid understanding of patient care services, clinical processes and handling of personal health information in order to demonstrate cases</li>
<li>Familiar with PHIPA, PIPEDA and AODA legislation</li>
<li>Experience with Prezi, Captivate and other media applications</li>
<li>Experience building course into a Learning Management System (LMS), deploying content and reporting on results is an asset</li>
<li>Highly proficient in creating effective and imaginative training materials and presentations</li>
<li>Must be able to work independently, but also collaboratively as a member of a high performing team</li>
<li>Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently handle several tasks simultaneously</li>
<li>Epic training certification will be required within 3 months of hiring. All expenses associated with the certification process will be covered by SJHH</li>
