Job Description

The Child Support Worker plays a vital role in providing direct care and support to children residing in our residential program. This position requires a compassionate, patient, and responsible individual who is committed to creating a safe and enriching environment for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and support to children, including assistance with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
  • Implement individualized support plans and behavioral intervention plans as directed.
  • Monitor children’s well-being, identifying and addressing any immediate needs or concerns.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, fostering trust and respect.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children.
  • Assist children in developing life skills such as communication, social interaction, and problem-solving.
  • Participate in recreational activities and outings with children.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.
  • Collaborate with other members of the care team, including Program Supervisors, therapists, and other professionals.
  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, including child protection guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
