This site-based role demands a hands-on leader with deep expertise in heavy civil construction and mass excavation.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location: South America</strong></p><p><strong>Project Type: Large-scale Mining & Infrastructure</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead construction execution for the TSF (Tailings Storage Facility) and bulk earthworks, including drill & blast and mass excavation.</li><li>Champion a strong HSE culture across all phases of the project.</li><li>Provide field support for contract development, contractor mobilization, and execution oversight.</li><li>Manage fleet mobilization, logistics, and infrastructure development.</li><li>Oversee construction of a 100m earthen tailings dam, ensuring compliance with quality standards.</li><li>Integrate owner self-perform activities, including >100T earthmoving fleet management.</li><li>Support early site development and infrastructure planning to enable smooth mobilization.</li><li>Drive schedule and production management, including schedule mitigation strategies.</li><li>Lead personnel across EPCM home office and field execution teams.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>15-20 years of experience in heavy civil construction, preferably in mining.</li><li>Proven experience in high-altitude execution (>3500 masl).</li><li>Prior leadership in tailings dam construction and mass excavation.</li><li>Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.</li><li>Experience working in South America; Argentina experience is an asset.</li><li>Strong background in project setup, planning, and field execution.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in remote environments.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>To apply for this position, please send your resume in Word format to </p><p><br></p><p>We thank all applicants for their interest.
