Adecco is currently seeking an experienced <strong>Dispatcher</strong> to join our client's team in Carp, ON. Reporting to the General Manager, the Dispatcher is responsible for the dispatch of drivers and providing accurate direction. The role also includes providing a high degree of customer service in a fast-paced work environment.<br> <br><strong>Work Location:</strong> Carp, ON<br><strong>Shifts:</strong> Full time hours that fall in line with School Bussing Split Shift (approx. 6:30am to 10:30am and 1:00pm to 5:00pm)<br><br> <strong> Important Details: </strong><br><ul><li>Split shift hours to support school bussing peak times<br></li><li>This full time role runs year round, and it not defined by the school calendar<br></li><li>Summer or school holiday hours may vary and may NOT be split shift as a result<br></li><li>Dispatchers receive a 2 week holiday pro-rated the first year<br></li><li>You will need a reliable means of transportation to work in all weather.<br></li><li>No public transportation available to this area.<br></li></ul> <br><strong> Job Description: </strong><br><ul><li>Ensure dispatch and driver operations are in accordance with established standards<br></li><li>Creatively arrange routes and driver resources to ensure contracted routes are covered for driver illness and holidays<br></li><li>Customer Service Calls, Recurring rides & Special event co-ordination<br></li><li>Incident reporting<br></li><li>Dispatch drivers to various routes on a timely basis<br></li><li>Alert drivers to road closures and other delays<br></li><li>Identify all runs and drivers active on routes are on time to ensure no students are left behind<br></li><li>Manage and pull a variety of reports as per the General Manager's directive<br></li><li>Manage and assist with scheduling vehicle maintenance as required<br></li><li>Answer phones, fax, and email correspondence in a professional and courteous manner <br></li></ul><strong> Requirements:<br> </strong><br><ul><li>Dispatch experience within the transportation or service industry or related education<br></li><li>Ability to utilize a two way radio to listen to, respond to and communicate effectively with all on route drivers<br></li><li>Ability to multi-task to prioritize several urgent and important tasks<br></li><li>Ability to accurately follow a flowchart of procedures to meet corporate and legal obligations<br></li><li>Strong proven customer service experience<br></li><li>Computer literate and have software experience in MS Office (MS Word and Excel)<br></li><li>A good understanding of the transportation industry<br></li><li>Possess a valid Ontario G license<br></li><li>Able to Provide a Clean drivers abstract<br></li><li>Able to Provide a Clean criminal record search<br></li><li>An excellent Geographic knowledge of the City of Ottawa and surrounding areas and preferably familiar with the schools and their locations within the districts we serve<br></li><li>Able to communicate effectively with clear, concise and excellent English<br></li></ul> <br>If you are interested in applying to our <strong>Dispatcher </strong>opportunity, please submit your resume as soon as possible by clicking on the 'Apply with Adecco' button.<br><br>CAB7616<br>@@j <br> <br></br><br>
