Electrical Design & Project Coordination

  • Interpret electrical drawings, SLAs, and single-line diagrams to support planning and field execution (200+ SLAs).
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure field work aligns with design requirements.
  • Coordinate with electrical contractors and oversee site work to ensure compliance with safety codes, project specs, and schedules.
  • Identify on-site deviations and update as-built documentation with accurate redlines.

On-Call & Field Support

  • Provide on-call technical support in partnership with Customer Support for deployed systems.
  • Troubleshoot high-priority issues remotely or on-site, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
  • Prepare detailed field reports, visit summaries, and technical documentation for internal and client use.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and external teams to support knowledge sharing and product evolution.
  • Offer field insights to help refine system design and enhance overall reliability.
  • Participate in, and at times lead, special projects focused on integration, validation, or process optimization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, hardware integration, or system commissioning.
  • Background in energy systems, industrial controls, or electrical power systems.
  • Strong PLC programming skills (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or comparable tools).
  • Experience with scripting/automation tools (Python, Bash, etc.) for testing and diagnostics.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams with accuracy.
  • Skilled in reviewing and producing electrical packages and single-line diagrams.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols including Modbus, CAN, TCP/IP, and OPC-UA.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting abilities with high-voltage equipment.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and project coordination skills.
  • Able to work independently and handle extensive travel across North America.
  • Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
