Your responsibilities and tasks:

We are interested in hiring a Value Engineer that has passion to Engineer for a Better World. We collaborate daily with global teams to develop industry leading agricultural technologies. In the role of Value Engineer, you will tap into your creativity to collaborate with a global team of diverse people. You will review new or existing products during the design phase to reduce costs and increase functionality and value of the product. The Value Engineer will contribute to a team that analyzes value as the most cost-effective way of producing an item without taking away from its purpose. In addition, the Value Engineer will have the opportunity to leverage skills in tactical & strategic thinking, business acumen, and professional oral & written communication. Here is an opportunity to turn ideas into cost effective products by joining a successful company that helps feed the world. Specific tasks and skills include:



  • Gather information by analyzing what a product lifecycle will look like related to spending and processes;
  • Think creatively to consider new, different ways for the product to be created and distributed to improve margin;
  • Lead workshops across multiple departments to lower costs and improve margins;
  • Evaluate ideas for cost then present cost break down and value discoveries that will benefit the company;
  • Utilize knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to identify alternative cost optimized production processes;
  • Present proposals on saving potential along with timelines, financial projections, drawings, and risks;
  • Interfacing with PLM environment (Teamcenter), Solidworks CAD, and SAP;
  • Implement cost optimized design changes utilizing global tools and processes;
  • Monitor and report on value initiatives and compare them with proposed expectations;
  • Global exposure and work in multi-national environment.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Physics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering degree);
  • Experience in 3D CAD modelling experience considered;
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Experience with SAP preferred;
  • 1-10 years engineering experience;
  • Experience in Siemens Teamcenter Product Cost Management-Software is beneficial;
  • Good communication skills, positive attitude, and team player;
  • Comfortable working with livestock;
  • Strong desire to learn;
  • Good work ethic;
  • Strong team player;
  • Well-developed communication skills both written and oral;
  • Bilingual: French – English (international collaboration).
