<p>Stantec’s Transportation team has an immediate opportunity for an Environmental Planner to join our Hamilton office.</p>
<h3>Your Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li><p>Carrying out the environmental component of multi-disciplinary projects</p></li>
<li><p>Preparing environmental documents for all phases of transportation projects from planning through to construction</p></li>
<li><p>working with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to identify and address issues and permitting requirements</p></li>
<li><p>Coordinating public consultation programs, including open houses and project websites</p></li>
<li><p>Analyzing input from multi-disciplinary teams and consultants</p></li>
<li><p>Interacting with clients, regulators and stakeholders</p></li>
<li><p>Writing reports, proposals and presentations</p></li>
<li><p>Following quality assurance/quality control, and health and safety requirements</p></li>
</ul>
<h3>Your Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li><p>Relevant degree in Planning, Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences or Engineering. and min 6 years experience.</p></li>
<li><p>Professional designation (e.g. MCIP, RPP) desirable</p></li>
<li><p>Demonstrated experience as an Environmental Planner on Provincial transportation infrastructure projects</p></li>
<li><p>Possess a valid driver's license.</p></li>
<li><p>Strong report writing skills.</p></li>
<li><p>Ability to work in a team environment.</p></li>
<li><p>Self-motivated, have excellent technical writing and interpersonal communication skills</p></li>
</ul>
<p>Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.</p>
