Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in marine construction. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for projects involving dredging, piling, port and harbor works, and coastal infrastructure. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure competitive and realistic pricing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and requirements to develop cost estimates.
  • Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs specific to marine construction activities.
  • Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation for dredging, piling, and waterfront projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align estimates with project goals.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, historical records, and pricing information.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in project scope and pricing.
  • Support negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, and environmental regulations.


Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in construction management, civil/marine engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in estimating for marine construction projects (dredging, piling, coastal infrastructure).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and materials used in marine works.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.
