<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>We’re Hiring:</strong> Estimator.</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Hamilton, ON.</p><p><strong>Salary: </strong>$85,000 annually.<br><br></p><p>Oakridge Landscape Contractors is seeking an Estimator to join our dynamic Estimating team! If you have a passion for precision, enjoy working on diverse projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.<br><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in preparing quotations for commercial, municipal, and private development projects.</li><li>Perform detailed take-offs from landscape plans and conduct on-site measurements.</li><li>Gather project information such as drawings, specifications, addenda, and contracts.</li><li>Maintain and update the project list and related documentation.</li><li>Collaborate with construction teams, superintendents, and subtrades for accurate pricing.</li><li>Occasionally attend pre-bid site meetings and client meetings.</li><li>Support in creating purchase orders, work plans, and project summaries for awarded jobs.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>What You Bring:</strong></p><ul><li>3-5 years experience estimating in construction.</li><li>Completion of a three-year college program in civil or construction engineering technology and/or Landscaping Architecture.</li><li>Certification by the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors would be an asset.</li><li>Ability to complete take off quantities from construction and landscape plans.</li><li>Ability to physically measure areas onsite (at the project location).</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Computer skills in Excel and Word Pro.</li><li>Able to read and understand blueprints. </li><li>Recognize and follow occupational hazards and standard safety precautions.</li><li>Valid drivers’ licence with a good drivers abstract.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Additional Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Self-motivated, team-oriented, and detail-focused.</li><li>Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle multiple projects.</li><li>Commitment to safety and professional development.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced highly productive environment.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Why Join Oakridge?:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and growth opportunities.</li><li>Work with an experienced, collaborative team on diverse, high-profile projects.</li><li>A supportive environment that encourages learning and innovation.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Ready to Apply?:</strong></p><p>Send your resume to <span >jobs@oakridgelandscape.com!</span></p><p><br />We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
