Job Description:<br><br>Facilities Maintenance Worker:<ul><li>Regularly water and maintain both indoor and outdoor plants.</li><li>Perform routine inspections to ensure optimal building temperature and adjust systems as needed.</li><li>Organize and maintain cleanliness in offices, classrooms, and common areas to ensure a tidy, well-ordered environment.</li><li>Oversee/Perform maintenance activities as assigned for both college and personal residential properties.</li><li>Assemble and move furniture, install wall mounts, frames, and fixtures as required. Touch up holes and paint walls when necessary.</li><li>Keep an up-to-date inventory of office supplies, furniture, tools, and equipment.</li><li>Purchase supplies and equipment as needed, with supervisor approval.</li><li>Pick up and deliver supplies or orders as required.</li><li>Safely manage and operate the electrical panel.</li><li>Ensure the proper functioning and security of internet, phone, and wiring connections.</li><li>Maintain exterior landscaping, including seasonal tasks like snow removal and waste disposal. (Coordinate with third-party service providers)</li><li>Oversee the maintenance and servicing of vehicles.</li><li>Supervise parking lot organization, ensuring vehicles are parked according to signage.</li><li>Monitor and secure the building and its premises.</li><li>Respond promptly to maintenance or security concerns.</li><li>Assist with cleaning duties as required, including aquarium cleaning.</li><li>Be available for on-call support during weekends if needed.</li><li>Conduct deep carpet cleaning twice a year with assistance from other cleaning staff.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned.</li></ul>
<br>Maintenance Responsibilities:<ul><li>Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural elements (e.g., walls and floors).</li><li>Conduct regular inspections of building systems, grounds, and equipment to identify any issues or potential risks.</li><li>Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities.</li><li>Install new equipment, appliances, and fixtures as needed.</li><li>Perform a variety of tasks, including painting, cleaning, pressure washing, and landscaping.</li><li>Maintain a log of completed work, write shift reports, and document any issues.</li></ul>
<br>Reporting & Safety Compliance:<ul><li>Report maintenance needs and issues to the maintenance manager or client in a timely manner.</li><li>Adhere to all company safety regulations and comply with local building codes.</li></ul>
<br>Tools and Equipment:<ul><li>Safely operate and maintain a variety of tools, including hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills are essential.</li><li>Knowledge of various maintenance methods and systems, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.</li><li>Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks as required.</li></ul>
<br>Must have Class 5 driver license required and access to personal vehicle.<br><br>Job Type, Shift & Schedule:<ul><li>Job Type: In person, Full-time, Permanent.</li><li>Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift.</li></ul>
