Job Description
Position Overview
Financial Planning & Analyst (FP&A)/Lead at CGI – a hybrid role requiring presence at our downtown office at least 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and provide consulting services to executive management.
- Monitor and advise on operational and financial changes based on macro‑economic trends.
- Generate monthly financial forecasts, compare actual performance to budget, and recommend strategies to address variances.
- Lead and mentor a team responsible for monthly business performance reporting, billing, accounts receivable, work‑in‑progress tracking, contract management, and project creation/maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
- Allocate workload, maintain quality control, and ensure timely delivery of all deliverables.
- Act as the primary resource for ad‑hoc requests and problem resolution.
- Identify inefficiencies and develop innovative solutions to streamline operations and optimize financial outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 8+ years in financial management, consulting, or banking sector leadership roles.
- Proven track record in managing teams and delivering strategic insights to senior leadership.
- Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting concepts and practices.
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis, reporting tools, and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills and familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills under dynamic conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
