Job Title : Biomedical Firmware Engineer
Job Description
Join a leading biomedical engineering firm specializing in the development and manufacturing of medical devices used in interventional medical specialties. Work on innovative projects involving catheter systems and contribute to life-saving technologies.
Responsibilities
- Take a project from inception to completion, including testing phases.
- Design, architect, develop, and test firmware systems.
- Document all development processes in accordance with medical standards.
- Define the scope of projects to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Troubleshoot firmware and hardware problems efficiently.
- Develop STM32 microcontrollers with bootloaders and concurrency methods.
- Engage in embedded C bare metal solutions development.
- Ask questions to address knowledge gaps in firmware development.
- Conduct board testing when necessary.
- 5 years of experience in embedded C programming.
- 5 years of firmware development expertise.
- 5 years of experience in bare metal or RTOS development.
- 5 years of microcontroller experience.
- Proficiency in bootloader development.
- Strong understanding of hardware systems.
- Ability to communicate in English and French.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with VHDL and FPGA.
- Knowledge of STM32 and Keil systems.
- Understanding of parallel interfaces / screens.
- Experience in regulated industries.
- Background in medical device development.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 – $60.00 / hr.
