1. JOB OBJECTIVES
Responsible for developing formulations and manufacturing processes for products under development.
Participate in investigating and resolving issues for exhibit batches and commercial products.
Collaborate and assist in the manufacture of exhibit batches and support the transfer of products to commercial scale.
Support technology transfer activities for commercial projects.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Formulation
Draft protocols for laboratory batches of products under development.
Manufacture laboratory batches of products under development.
Draft documents related to pre-formulation and formulation.
Compile analytical data obtained during stability programs for laboratory batches.
Draft development reports related to product formulation.
Provide support for products under development.
Provide support for commercial products as part of transfers.
Other
Collaborate on various special projects, as needed.
Participate in drafting or updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the department.
Keep up to date with SOPs.
Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and health and safety rules when preparing and carrying out work.
Perform any other related tasks deemed relevant to this position, particularly those related to formulations in development (unapproved products).
3. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing pharmaceutical product formulations.
Good knowledge of GMP.
Bilingualism (French/English) and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in computer tools, particularly Microsoft Office.
Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
Good organizational skills and strong writing abilities.
Ability to work in a team and have good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and/or frequent changes in priorities.
