ROLE SUMMARY

As the first point of contact for our guests, the Front Desk Host/Hostess sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. You will greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism, manage reservations and waitlists, and ensure smooth front-of-house operations. Working closely with the service and management teams, you'll balance guest flow and table turnover to maintain an efficient and welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate is poised, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment where genuine guest connections are at the heart of what we do.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide exceptional hospitality, ensuring guests feel valued and welcome from the moment they walk through the door.
  • Conduct a walk-through of the restaurant to ensure readiness for service and a pristine environment.
  • Manage reservations with strategic precision, accommodating both pre-booked guests and walk-ins as efficiently as possible.
  • Answer incoming calls, assist with reservations, and provide detailed information on the menu, specials, and general restaurant offerings.
  • Work closely with other departments to foster a positive and smooth working environment, ensuring all guest needs are met and exceeded.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant's offerings, including food, drinks, and special promotions, to address guest inquiries confidently and accurately.
  • Assist in other front-of-house duties as needed, always keeping the guest experience at the forefront.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
  • Exceptional hospitality, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanour.
  • Strong team player and communicator.
  • Able to work long-standing shifts and perform physical tasks like lifting and pushing.
  • Flexible to work full-time hours (4+ shifts per week), including Sunday and Monday availability, and evenings.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to commute to and from the restaurant, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
