<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>GYM RECEPTIONIST</strong><br />Golds Gym West Broadway is hiring a part-time Gym Receptionist, with the potential to grow! Are you outgoing, enthusiastic, and have a passion for fitness? We would love to hear from you!<br><br><strong>About Golds Gym West Broadway<br><br></strong>Located just just 2 blocks away from the Broadway City Hall sky-train station. Tucked under the Holiday Inn, the facility is 18,000 sqft - Featuring an amazing assortment of your favorite lifting equipment - Including pin and plate-loaded machines, racks and platforms, cardio equipment and other specialty pieces not found at other gyms. The Gold&#39;s Gym Brand was established in southern California in 1965, featuring over 500 locations throughout North America and around the world.<br><br>ABOUT THE ROLE:<br><br><strong>Time of Work - Must be available 3-4 days a week: </strong><strong><em>CLOSING SHIFTS 5:15pm-11:15pm</em></strong><br /><ul><li>Training shifts will be early mid day for the first 7-10 days of employment. </li><li>*weekend shifts may be require upon request.</li><li>NO extended time off for travel in the first 6 months of employment.</li></ul><strong>What we need from you</strong><br /><ul><li>Service driven with an enthusiastic attitude.</li><li>Previous customer service experience required.</li><li>High school diploma required.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li><strong><em>Valid First Aid certification an asset.</em></strong></li><li>Fluent in English - Ability to speak other languages an asset.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).</li><li>Knowledge of cash handling / previous experience with POS terminals.</li><li>Ability work both alone and in groups.</li><li>Critical thinking / problem solving skills.</li><li><strong><em>Must have reliable transportation (vehicle) OR live within walking distance of 709 West Broadway.</em></strong></li></ul><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br /><ul><li>Ensure facility is open on time and members are able to check in at start of day.</li><li>Greet members and guests enthusiastically to encourage a positive culture at the club.</li><li>Promptly ensure that customer inquiries are resolved professionally and thoroughly via telephone, e-mail and in person encounters.</li><li>Monitor member check-ins / Check-in guests ensuring all policies and processes are</li><li>Ensure that guests and appointments are directed to the appropriate <span >employee/department</span> in a prompt, professional manner.</li><li>Complete all guest check in procedures.</li><li>Efficiently and effective input and update daily cash reconciliation documents</li><li>Process point of sale items, such as retail and concession sales.</li><li>Check in all members and guests using the proper registration procedures.</li><li>Distribute membership cards, parking decals, towels, child-minding tickets, and other materials as needed.</li></ul><strong>What We Offer</strong><br /><ul><li>Positive, rewarding, and collaborative team environment.</li><li>Complimentary club membership.</li><li>Discount on Golds Gym merchandise and services.</li></ul><strong>NOTE</strong>: This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
