<p>We are seeking a dynamic and confident Functional Analyst to join our client’s Merchandising and Procurement Technology team. This<b> virtual role </b>goes beyond traditional business analysis—it's about owning product data, designing solutions, and driving transformation across procurement, vendor management, and EDI integration. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across merchandising, category management, and IT to deliver scalable, efficient systems that support inbound supply chain operations, product lifecycle management and our overall product growth</p><p><b>Functional & Process Ownership</b></p><ul><li>Act as a strategic partner to merchandising and procurement teams—understand product/vendor relationships, costing, and inbound supply chain flows.</li><li>Own the Technology used to manage product master data, ensuring accuracy and alignment across systems.</li><li>Lead EDI-related initiatives with external partners and internal stakeholders.</li></ul><p><b>Solution Design & Implementation</b></p><ul><li>Design and deliver technology-enabled solutions that align with business goals.</li><li>Oversee testing, implementation, and user training for new systems and enhancements.</li><li>Collaborate with development teams to translate functional needs into technical requirements and turn these requirements into Value-based epics and stories to drive outcomes.</li></ul><p><b>Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration</b></p><ul><li>Facilitate workshops with managers, directors, and category leads to gather requirements and identify process gaps.</li><li>Build strong relationships across merchandising, procurement, and IT—be a trusted advisor and change agent.</li><li>Communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations clearly to leadership.</li></ul><p><b>Documentation & Analysis</b></p><ul><li>Create functional specifications, process documentation, and user guides.</li><li>Analyze data to uncover trends and inform business decisions.</li><li>Support continuous improvement efforts across merchandising and supply chain operations.</li></ul><p><b>What You Bring</b></p><ul><li>Proven experience in merchandising, procurement, or supply chain environments—especially inbound logistics and vendor/product management.</li><li>Strong understanding of EDI systems, product master data, and costing models.</li><li>Experience leading ERP or system implementations from a functional perspective.</li><li>Agile mindset—Scrum experience preferred; familiarity with Jira and Confluence.</li><li>Technical fluency: SQL, Microsoft 365, AWS/cloud platforms; AS400 experience a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—comfortable engaging with directors and senior leadership.</li><li>Experience in environments using test-driven and hypothesis-based development</li><li>A proactive, value-driven, solution-oriented approach with the ability to think outside the box and drive change.</li></ul><p>This is a virtual role, and can be anywhere in Canada, the working hours are 8 am - 4:30 pm.
