Job Description:

We are looking for a full time Graphic Designer to join our growing creative team. This role will require strong conceptual and execution skills and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is eager to be a contributing force to our design team. A large part of this role will consist of setting up files for print production, CNC cutting and creating print proof documents. Creation of shop drawings for fabrication, producing 3D renderings and mock-ups would be considered an added benefit.

As one of the top growing print and build companies in the Greater Toronto Area, this will be a crucial role in our successful growth. In this role you will be reporting to the Senior Designer and working closely with the sales team and production team. A high level of organization and effective written and verbal communication will be crucial to the success of the applicant.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of pitch decks, print proof documents and creative concepts in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Set up print files for roll to roll vinyl printing, as well as flatbed print applications.
• Set up files for CNC cutting and vinyl plotter cutting.
• Sketch and draw up designs using input from clients/sales team and production team.
• Align with the Director/Project Managers to ensure all creative produced assets align with our team's capabilities.
• Coordinate with the print department and sales team regarding timelines on projects.
• Take work from concept to final execution within quick deadlines.
• Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience for each brand.
• Present completed ideas to team members and revise where needed.
• Stay on top of all industry trends and maintain best practices.
• Ability to take on additional roles when required

Qualifications:

• 2 - 5 years of working experience as a Graphic Designer or Production Designer.
• Hands-on experience with graphic design including creative ideation, pitch, typography, colour, social media graphics and mock-ups, pitch deck design, and image selection.
• Hands-on experience with creating print files for large format printing applications.
• Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator with the ability to learn programs as required.
• Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well
• Team player with strong communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable conceptualizing creative ideas on your own
• Must have experience designing pitch deck templates and mock-ups
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design or relevant field of study.
• 3D rendering experience would be considered an asset.
• Experience in designing POP or retail displays would be considered an asset.
• Must provide portfolio or work samples for review. This should contain a broad range of recent work.

Job Types: Full-time, 1 year contract with the possibility of Permanent position.

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
