This position reports to the AVP - Software Engineering.<p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Review software requirements efficiently</li><li>Build architectural diagrams / design documents</li><li>Design screens, business rules, and workflow changes</li><li>Write programs, configure / package / deploy software</li><li>Establish and follow coding standards</li><li>Debug and unit test the code</li><li>Perform peer code reviews</li><li>Mentor junior resources</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience.</li><li>10+ years proven experience in Guidewire Application Development</li><li>Must work on Guidewire BC Configuration </li><li>Nice to have Guidewire PC Configuration Knowledge</li><li>Expertise in GOSU Language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins</li><li>Read code in other languages and reverse engineer products</li><li>Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.</li><li>Domain knowledge on Property & Casualty Insurance</li><li>Guidewire Cloud Certification is a must.</li><li>7+ years of Guidewire development experience.</li><li>7+ years of experience coding RESTful APIs.</li><li>7+ years of experience with coding in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, etc.</li><li>7+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL – MS SQL Server & Transact SQL proficiency preferred.</li><li>Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications.</li><li>Experience creating modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON.</li><li>In-depth understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.</li></ul><p>What you’ll get: </p><ul><li>Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities.</li><li>Outstanding Career Development opportunities.</li><li>We’ll support your professional development education.</li><li>Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per year</li><li>Employee driven programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, origins, diversity and inclusion</li><li>Corporate wellness programs to support our employees’ physical and mental health</li><li>Hybrid flexible work model</li></ul><p></p></p></p></p>
