The modern 164-bed, seven story acute care hospital provides quality patient care with individual inpatient rooms, state-of-the-art treatment rooms, and enhanced diagnostics systems.<br><br><b><strong>Position Details:</strong></b><br></p><p><b><strong>Position: </strong></b>Casual Security Officers<br><b><strong>Site:</strong> </b>Western Memorial Regional Hospital<br><b><strong>Overtime:</strong> </b>Overtime after 48 hours<br><b><strong>Hours:</strong> </b>As needed<br><b><strong>Payrate:</strong> </b>$19.00 /hour<br><b><strong>Posting Date:</strong> </b>June 2, 2025<br><b><strong>Internal Closing Date: </strong></b>July 15th, 2025<br><b><strong>External Closing Date:</strong> </b>July 15th, 2025<br></p><p><b><strong>Schedule Example:</strong></b><br></p><ul><li>As needed<br></li></ul><p><b><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></b><br></p><ul><li><b><strong>Patrol Hospital Grounds:</strong> </b>Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.</li><li><b><strong>Monitor Surveillance Systems:</strong> </b>Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.</li><li><b><strong>Access Control</strong> </b>: Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.</li><li><b><strong>Respond to Emergencies:</strong> </b>Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations.</li><li><b><strong>Provide Customer Service:</strong> </b>Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures.</li><li><b><strong>Conflict Resolution:</strong> </b>De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.</li><li><b><strong>Report Writing:</strong> </b>Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.</li><li><b><strong>Collaboration with Hospital Staff</strong> </b>: Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved.</li><li><b><strong>Enforce Hospital Policies:</strong> </b>Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed.
