We are always looking to strengthen our team and generate sustainable quality employment.</p><p>We offer a safe work environment, competitive wages, benefits, safety based awards, a profit share program, opportunities for advancement, extensive training, and educational opportunities.</p><hr /><p><strong>Heavy Equipment Technician Job Description:</strong></p><p>The successful applicant will:</p><ul><li><p>Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of truck and trailer combinations.<br /></p></li><li><p>Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical troubles</p></li><li><p>Perform preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance, repair, overhaul, trouble shoot and test mechanical and electronic equipment according to company standards</p></li><li><p>Complete maintenance records and documentations as required</p></li><li><p>Work in a shop setting when not in the field<br /></p></li><li><p>Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve participation in other areas of technical and field support, as required</p></li><li><p>Perform duties in a safe, timely and cost efficient manner</p></li><li><p>Other duties as required</p></li></ul><p><strong>The successful applicant MUST HAVE</strong></p><ul><li><p>Alberta HET (Heavy Equipment Technician) certification or minimum 4th year apprentice or out of province HET certification with Interprovincial Red Seal</p></li><li><p>Your own tools</p></li><li><p>Basic welding knowledge and skills (welding certification is an asset)</p></li><li><p>Minimum Class 5 license with clean abstract (valid Class 1 License is an asset)</p></li><li><p>Licensed CVIP certification or willing to apply</p></li><li><p>Strong attention to detail</p></li><li><p>Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team</p></li><li><p>Strong attention to detail</p></li><li><p>Ability to multitask and shift priorities as required</p></li><li><p>Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime and weekend work during the construction season (May November)</p></li><li><p>Great communication and interpersonal skills</p></li><li><p>Be in good physical shape in order to work in physically demanding conditions</p></li></ul><br><br><b><i>Job Posted by ApplicantPro</i></b><br /></p></p>
