Summary
Are you a dynamic housekeeper looking to work at an exceptional private estate to perform a wide range of tasks? We have exactly that to present you! This is a rare job opportunity to carry out various household tasks in a high standard environment, in the beautiful rural area of the Township of Potton. This position is a permanent and full-time employment.
Key responsibilities
- Planning and executing cleaning projects on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis.
- General cleaning and maintenance, including vacuuming, dusting, washing, etc.
- Ensuring proper care of delicate surfaces.
- Cleaning and organizing various indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Cleaning and tidying storage areas.
- Ensuring the residence is always immaculate and welcoming.
- Occasional assistance with laundry.
- Making beds and tidying bedrooms.
- Organizing the wardrobe and storing personal belongings.
- Packing and unpacking suitcases.
- Assisting the chef in food preparation.
- Occasional assistance with preparation and service during events.
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment on the estate.
- Reporting any irregularities in inventories.
- Providing high-quality service in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner to the employer as well as guests, household staff, and suppliers.
- Maintaining floral arrangements and plants.
- Answering the front door (entrance/exit control), welcoming guests and visitors, as well as answering the phone.
- Running various errands.
- Responding to special requests.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Housekeeper or in a similar role within a private household or high-end hospitality.
- Must be able to maintain a professional attitude at all times, demonstrate discretion, and respect the employer’s and guests’ privacy.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Capable of performing a wide variety of tasks and working with a schedule.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work outside the parameters of the job description.
- Flexible hours and ability to work long days during the peak season.
- Flexibility and tolerance for last-minute changes.
