<p><p>Voyago, Transdev Ontario, is hiring a <b>Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)</b>, to be based in our Ajax office and covering both the expanded Durham and GTA regions.</p>
<h3>Your Role</h3>
<p>Reporting to the <b>Vice President of Human Resources</b>, we are seeking a <b>highly motivated</b> and <b>experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)</b> to align business objectives with employee and management needs through close working relationships with management and all employee groups. This is an in‑office position and will require occasional travel within Ontario.</p>
<h3>Primary Responsibilities</h3>
<h3>Business Partner</h3>
<ul>
<li>Partner with the business to assess short and long‑term business needs of the business units and provide strategic HR direction to meet their operational business requirements</li>
<li>Support leaders with their management of front‑line drivers and other employee groups</li>
<li>Consult with business stakeholders on an ongoing basis to determine evolving human resource requirements and assist with the development and implementation of responsive, effective and value‑added human resource strategies</li>
<li>Provide input on business restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning</li>
<li>Provide day‑to‑day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions)</li>
<li>Use judgement supported by human resource acumen and practical experience to elevate matters as required</li>
<li>Provide leadership, guidance and develop an HR Generalist who will assist you in support of your internal clients</li>
</ul>
<h3>Employee Relations</h3>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with all leaders on performance management, investigations, corrective action, training & development, and supporting a strong employee experience</li>
<li>Provide advice on human resource policies, procedures, and documentation; research, identify, and analyze specific employee relations concerns and make appropriate recommendations to the business partner</li>
<li>Provide expertise on HR best practices to guide business stakeholders on matters such as performance management, human rights, employment standards and other labour legislation</li>
<li>Explore and determine innovative and creative approaches to resolving employee issues</li>
<li>Provide positive reinforcement and administer corrective action for the professional development of poor performers by closely monitoring employee performance</li>
<li>Facilitate communication and conflict resolution, including conducting internal employee investigations</li>
</ul>
<h3>Compliance</h3>
<ul>
<li>Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of current legislation relating to employment law, WSIB, Labour Relations Act, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code to ensure regulatory compliance</li>
<li>Provide support and consultation to the teams around applicable laws, ensuring that Voyago remains legally compliant in its people practices</li>
</ul>
<h3>Employee Experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>Foster and build relationships with key operational leaders by implementing a clear understanding of employee experience programs and initiatives</li>
<li>Support Employee experience initiatives under the direction of the Employee Experience Manager along with other projects and day‑to‑day support</li>
</ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<h3>Your Profile</h3>
<ul>
<li>You have a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field</li>
<li>You have 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role, ideally in a related industry</li>
<li>Your CHRP certification is preferred</li>
<li>You possess a Clean Criminal Record Search and Drivers Abstract</li>
<li>You have 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience managing labour relations, grievances, arbitration prep and negotiations</li>
<li>You are strategic, have a strong professional presence, and possess strong planning and organizational skills</li>
<li>You can interact with all levels of the organization with consultative, partnering, facilitating, and influencing/negotiating skills</li>
<li>You demonstrate a commitment to strong integrity, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive information</li>
<li>You are highly motivated and a self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities</li>
<li>Complete proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other common applications</li>
<li>You have an in‑depth knowledge of current legislations relating to employment standards and can provide counsel on Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workers' Compensation Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, etc.</li>
<li>You are available to travel to other facilities on a regular basis</li>
</ul>
