About WorkAxle

At WorkAxle, we’re building a workforce management platform that enables organizations to manage their teams with elegance and efficiency. As we scale, we’re looking for passionate developers who crave meaningful impact and thrive in product-oriented teams. This is not a static website job – it’s an opportunity to work on a robust, scalable SaaS product with real-world complexity and users.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product and design teams to implement features in our React + TypeScript codebase
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code with a high attention to detail
  • Take ownership of components and features from conception to deployment
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in the front-end stack and proactively suggest and implement solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to team discussions, and continuously improve our engineering practices

Required Skills

  • 1-3+ years of professional experience in front-end development for a production-ready SaaS application
  • Strong command of TypeScript and deep understanding of vanilla JavaScript
  • Solid knowledge of system design patterns and ability to apply them appropriately in the front-end context
  • Strong understanding of application performance optimization and browser rendering behavior
  • An innate drive for code quality – if you physically can’t ship ugly code, you might be our kind of person
  • Structured, analytical thinking and a passion for building clean and maintainable user interfaces
  • Experience or interest in back-end development, particularly Node.js and the NestJS framework (is an asset)

Soft Skills

  • Ownership mentality – you see a gap, you fill it
  • Detail-oriented and quality-driven without being rigid or perfectionist to a fault
  • Relentless in your pursuit of improving your craft
  • Team-oriented, but able to work autonomously and independently
