<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Power System Electrician (PSE) </strong></p><p>Reporting to the site supervisor, the Power System Electrician (PSE) will be responsible the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical power generation, transmission and distribution systems and equipment.</p><p><strong>What will you do as a Power System Electrician (PSE) at Spark Power? </strong></p><ul><li>Install and maintain electrical equipment and apparatus in generator unit stations, sub stations, collector stations and/or powerhouses. </li><li>Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and manufacturer specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations, splice, join and connect wire and/or high voltage cable to fixtures and components to form circuits.</li><li>Install and maintain electrical power distribution equipment such as transformers, generators, voltage regulators, switches, circuit breakers, capacitors, inductors, above/below ground conduit, ground grid, structural steel and fabricate control panels, brackets, and hangers.</li><li>Inspect and test installed electrical equipment and apparatus to locate electrical faults and check their operation, using volt meters, ammeters and other electrical test instruments and equipment</li><li>Adhere to all company and client health and safety guidelines and regulations</li><li>Ensure all electrical installations follow applicable client standards and trade practices.</li><li>Complete maintenance reports, QA/QC and ensure paperwork is completed timely and legibly.</li><li>Scope and order material for projects and daily work requirements.</li><li>Travel to remote locations and work at heights outdoors in all types of weather conditions.</li><li>Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.</li><li>Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.</li><li>Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, and if need be, replacing or repair following proper installation guidelines.</li><li>Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging. </li></ul><p><strong>Do you have the Spark? Here&#39;s what we&#39;re looking for:</strong></p><ul><li>Journeyman Electrician and industry related safety certification</li><li>PSE designation is considered an asset</li><li>Experience in industrial electrical construction and maintenance</li><li>A professional and respectful attitude with a strong customer service focus</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and written</li><li>Ability to work independently and cohesively within groups</li><li>Capable of working at various heights.
