The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who works both independently and with a team to achieve environmental program initiatives and ensures compliance to related policies and procedures.</p><p><strong>Job Location:</strong> London, ON<br /><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full Time</p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor and collect data from campus waste, recycling, and other locations in order to improve waste reduction.</li><li>Collect, analyze and report on data related to client and internal sustainability initiatives.</li><li>Coordinate annual waste audit and report on findings.</li><li>Promote recycling, composting and waste education to internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Participate at information booths and other education and awareness events.</li><li>Support the development of a culture focused on waste diversion and a commitment to sustainability.</li><li>Other duties as reasonably required from time to time.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge and Skills Required:</strong></p><ul><li>Environmental Science or related diploma or degree.</li><li>1-2 years' experience in related experience is considered an asset </li><li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written).</li><li>Intermediate computer and smart phone knowledge with experience using MS Office programs.</li><li>Ability to effectively analyze, plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.</li><li>Multilingual ability considered an asset.</li><li>Valid driver’s license in Ontario.</li><li>All potential candidates must pass security and criminal record checks. </li></ul><p>BEST is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
