LCV Qualified Cross-Border Owner-Operator Team
Job Description
This position runs open board Canada/U.S. long-haul and Canada LCV lanes when freight is available.
Required to be on the road 7 to 10 days at a time averaging 20,000 miles per month.
- Southbound freight could depart into any of the lower 48 states
- Northbound freight could go into any of the Canadian Provinces and Territories
- Required to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months a year
- Required to drive U.S. Mountains 12 months a year
- Required to drive in California, and U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year
- Requires 24 days on the road per month. Resets on the road as required
- Hours and days of work might change from time to time according to operational demand
- Regional freight will be required
- Must be able to haul all commodities
Candidate Profile:
- Owner-Operator Team with 24 months tractor trailer driving experience.
- Must have a Bunk Truck
- Tractors must be equipped with a DEF system
- Must have a minimum of 6-months verifiable LCV experience including operating during winter conditions
- FAST card is an asset
- Must have a minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience
- Must have a minimum of 6 months Highway 17 experience
- Reefer experience is required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual
- Strong communication skills
- Values safety
