Job Description

This position runs open board Canada/U.S. long-haul and Canada LCV lanes when freight is available.

Required to be on the road 7 to 10 days at a time averaging 20,000 miles per month.

  • Southbound freight could depart into any of the lower 48 states
  • Northbound freight could go into any of the Canadian Provinces and Territories
  • Required to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months a year
  • Required to drive U.S. Mountains 12 months a year
  • Required to drive in California, and U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year
  • Requires 24 days on the road per month. Resets on the road as required
  • Hours and days of work might change from time to time according to operational demand
  • Regional freight will be required
  • Must be able to haul all commodities

Candidate Profile:

  • Owner-Operator Team with 24 months tractor trailer driving experience.
  • Must have a Bunk Truck
  • Tractors must be equipped with a DEF system
  • Must have a minimum of 6-months verifiable LCV experience including operating during winter conditions
  • FAST card is an asset
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months Highway 17 experience
  • Reefer experience is required
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
  • Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license
  • Reliable, flexible, and punctual
  • Strong communication skills
  • Values safety
