Overview

eAvionics is a Canadian company based at the Oshawa Executive Airport (CYOO) on the east side of the Greater Toronto Area. A satellite location is also located at Pearson International Airport (CYYZ) north end.

We specialize on avionics services and installation of a wide range of avionics systems and on a wide range of aircrafts. While we specialize on avionics; we also have full in-house service of maintenance, sheet metal, engineering, and parts procurement.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Avionics Technician - AME to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics systems, electrical and mechanical knowledge, and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and functionality of aircraft systems through precise assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation of avionics systems in accordance with OEM specifications and/or approved data while making sure proper interface to existing systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks including but not limited to 24-month P/S recertifications, CVR intelligibility checks, FDR correlations, UAB recertification, ELT programming/recertification, EPS capacity check/servicing, main ship battery service.
  • Perform troubleshooting of avionics systems while working with OEMs and customer on a timely and efficient manner.
  • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate interfaces and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Document maintenance activities using Quantum MX maintenance software
  • Collaborate with engineering team in the creation of STC, EO and any required approved data for the installation of systems.
  • Assist in the development of new processes or improvements in existing procedures.
  • Maintain and care for all tools, test equipment and company vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer E License required. Consideration to those close to acquiring the E license will be given.
  • Experience in avionics systems installation/interface. General Aviation experience preferred.
  • Experience in troubleshooting avionics systems and performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Mechanical and/or Sheetmetal experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in using crimp tools and ability to identified the required tool for the job. knowledge of soldering is a must.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for electrical and mechanical designs is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Travel for both installation and service work within Canada and abroad is a must.
  • Class G driver license is a must.

Hourly rate based on experience. Consideration to those close to acquiring the E license will be given.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
