The primary focus is to grow our existing Life Insurance business. Our goal is to build strong relationships and increase our professional reputation. You will work as an employee of a Desjardins Independent Contractor Agent assisting the agency in selling and marketing Desjardins life and health insurance products, and in providing quality service to Desjardins customers.<br /></p><p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li> Advise on, and sell, all the Life Insurance products Desjardins has to offer. Requires a sound Sales Philosophy and Sales Process for success.</li><li>Conduct customer focused, needs based sales interviews, supported by technology to educate customers about insurance options.</li><li>Work with the Agent to establish and meet marketing goals.</li><li>Seize all sales opportunities, solicitation and product offers</li><li>Generate referrals</li><li>Prospecting for new business both inside and outside the Agency book of business</li><li>Adherence to Underwriting and Compliance Guidelines</li><li>Provide prompt, accurate, friendly, cost-effective service and utilize it as a basis for establishing a climate of trust in your customer interactions.</li><li>Work with the agency computer system to update information in customer databases used by the agent.</li><li>Share in all clerical duties related to Life Insurance as assigned by the Agent.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned by the Agent. <strong></strong></li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS/ ABILITIES</strong><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Must currently hold a valid Ontario Life and Accident & Sickness Insurance Agent’s license.</li><li>Prefer the candidate to have a minimum of 2 years life insurance industry experience.</li><li>Ability to learn and apply product, industry, and market knowledge to make professional recommendations to prospects and clients.</li><li>Ability to influence others.</li><li>Ability to create professional business relationships with prospects and policyholders.</li><li>Ability to take initiative and act effectively in various circumstances without direction.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and within a team atmosphere.</li><li>Self-<span >confidence/perseverance/strong</span> work ethic: remain positive and maintain progress towards a goal despite obstacles and adversity.</li><li>Goal oriented: highly motivated and resourceful to achieve results.</li><li>Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability, and ethical behavior.</li><li>Ability to organize and act on several activities concurrently while paying impeccable attention to detail and deadlines.</li><li>Successful track record of meeting sales goals</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>possesses strong problem-solving skills.</li></ul><p>If you’re ready to make an impact, grow professionally, and be part of a winning team, we want to hear from you!</p><p><strong>Apply today and take the next step in your insurance career with Brian Mulligan's Desjardins Insurance Agent</strong></p><p>This position is with an independent contractor agent that is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries.
