Role
Reporting to the Manager, Supply Operations, the incumbent will play a key role by coordinating rail supply logistics for customers in the U.S. northeast, overseeing the management of all incoming and outgoing traffic from the trainyard of the Jean Gaulin Refinery and serving as the main contact with CN on all operational matters. The incumbent shall coordinate the operational supply logistics and road transportation operational issues for our various terminals and customers.
Responsibilities
Manages the inventory and supply of distillates of rail customers in the U.S. northeast.
Manages the movements and trips of trains in the yard of the Lévis refinery (main contact).
Manages rail cars temporarily out of service and takes action to have repairs made.
Checks the demurrage invoices for rail movements.
Sends the plan each day to CN for all rail modes (manifests, interconnected trains, unit train).
Manages the supply of terminals by road transportation.
Manages operational emergencies related to road transportation.
Ensures replacement of Technicians, Product Logistics.



Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (business related, engineering or logistics)
Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience
Bilingual – French and English (spoken and written)
Experience in petroleum industry, a strong asset
Strong Excel & SAP / SAP BW knowledge, an asset
Strong team player
Initiative and leadership
Creative problem-solving skills, under pressure
Analytical skills
Communication and negotiation skills
Valero Energy Inc. is governed by the Charter of the French Language. However, knowledge of English is considered necessary for performing the tasks of this position.

The individual in this position will be required to review documents and interact both verbally and in writing with colleagues at the head office in Texas or in other Canadian provinces, or with various stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, unilingual anglophone business partners.
