Job Description
- Key accountable to manage change initiatives through the change and delivery life cycle, aligning with relevant policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures, including 1B activities for intake and engagement, risk assessment, change monitoring, reporting, and post‑implementation review.
- Oversee diverse risk and control activities for FCRM in line with policies, processes, and initiatives to meet strategy and governance objectives.
- Prepare presentations, support reporting activities, and lead meetings.
- Manage the FCRM 1B program areas assigned, ensuring compliance with 1B Standards.
- Support the evolving of the FCRM Risk Culture.
- Manage issues and remediation timelines, and identify, escalate, and report on issues as applicable.
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships with control partners and key stakeholders, responding to requests in a timely and accurate manner while supporting business initiatives.
- Develop and implement processes, procedures, and reporting for oversight of risk areas within the 1B governance program (e.g., Change and Delivery Risk) and seek opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support change initiatives that impact the 1B program (e.g., updates to AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC program).
- Represent FCRM 1B in working groups, committees, or programs.
- Support TD’s enterprise‑wide risk strategies and control function requirements.
- Perform any other governance, risk, and controls responsibilities assigned.
Job Requirements
- Strong experience and knowledge of TD’s change and delivery risk program.
- Strong risk, controls, and governance experience.
- Proven background in risk management, particularly in developing and implementing risk initiatives and providing oversight (e.g., Operational Risk Management, Third‑Party Risk Management, Model and Non‑Model Risk Management, Change Management, Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience).
- Proven leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to act as a catalyst for change.
- Strong collaboration skills, engaging colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and employees.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to work with all levels, including senior management.
- Skillful communication (written and verbal), negotiation, and partnership skills to balance stakeholder input while remaining objective in reaching outcomes; ability to stay resilient under pressure.
- Robust organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent analytical skills in assessing risk, issues, and challenging the status quo.
- Comfortable navigating a space that is not well defined, ambiguous, and complex at times.
Qualifications / Skills
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced degree, professional accreditation, and/or seven or more years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in the financial services industry, risk management, governance, compliance, change risk, or a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills with attention to detail.
- Critical thinking and decision‑making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reporting for executive audiences.
- Effective stakeholder and partner engagement with a professional approach; ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
- Ability to operate with flexibility in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving team environment and prioritize competing priorities.
