<p><h3>Manager, Product Safety & Toxicology - Global</h3><p><b>DECIEM | THE ABNORMAL BEAUTY COMPANY</b> is looking for an experienced Manager to lead our Product Safety team within the Regulatory Affairs department. The role is full‑time, permanent, based at our Head Office in Liberty Village, and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days in‑office and 2 days working from home.</p><h3>Overview</h3><p>The successful candidate will manage the product safety program, evaluate both raw materials and finished products for hazards, and ensure compliance with global cosmetics and NHP/OTC regulations. A strong background in toxicology is essential.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Review literature data for individual ingredients and develop Margin of Safety calculations.</li><li>Support exposure assessment calculations for consumer products.</li><li>Interpret systemic, dermal, irritation, and sensitization toxicity studies.</li><li>Assess finished product testing endpoints.</li><li>Apply knowledge of environmental regulations (CEPA, AICIS, TSCA) and environmental toxicity studies.</li><li>Lead regulatory review of raw materials and finished products for global cosmetics, NHP, and OTC compliance.</li><li>Manage documentation in Product Information Files for newly marketed products.</li><li>Oversee compliance with CEPA, AICIS, and REACH requirements for imported raw materials and finished products.</li><li>Mentor and coach a team of risk assessors to foster growth and expertise.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications & Experience</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field (toxicology) is required.</li><li>5+ years of experience in safety and risk assessments.</li><li>5+ years of regulatory affairs experience, including product or ingredient registration.</li><li>3+ years of leadership or management experience.</li><li>Deep knowledge of Canadian, U.S., and European Union regulatory schemes.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Generous vacation & personal days, plus time off for volunteering, voting, and celebrations.</li><li>6 months paid parental leave (inclusive of all genders).</li><li>Work from anywhere 4 weeks per year.</li><li>Hybrid work model.</li><li>Summer Fridays: 1‑pm departure during summer.</li><li>Unlimited Employee Assistance Program access.</li><li>Development grants and LinkedIn Learning membership.</li><li>Generous employee discounts on DECIEM products.</li></ul><h3>DEI & Equal Employment Opportunity</h3><p>DECIEM is an equal‑opportunity employer.
