<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Guard!<p></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Hamilton, ON<br /><strong>Schedule:</strong> Saturday & Sunday (11:00 PM – 11:00 AM)<br /><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> $20.60/hour<br /><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Part Time<br /><strong>Averaging Agreement:</strong> Employment Standards Act</p><p></p><strong>Overview</strong><p>Paladin Security is seeking a dedicated and professional <strong>Security Guard</strong> to protect a large manufacturing facility located at <strong>Highway 6 & Dundas Street East, Waterdown</strong>. This role is essential in maintaining the safety of personnel, visitors, and property through vigilant monitoring, patrols, and effective incident response.<br /> The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and integrity of a site operating under <strong>Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP)</strong> standards.</p><p></p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li> Protect property, assets, and personnel through proactive patrols and continuous monitoring. </li><li> Maintain strict access control for staff, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering or leaving the site. </li><li> Conduct regular patrols (interior and exterior) to identify safety hazards, policy breaches, or maintenance concerns. </li><li> Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, incidents, and emergencies. </li><li> Operate and monitor CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. </li><li> Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors while upholding professional standards. </li><li> Log and track keys, radios, and other site equipment during audits. </li><li> Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries in accordance with site policy. </li><li> Report any unsafe working conditions or facility damage to management. </li><li> Provide First Aid and emergency medical assistance as required. </li><li> Prepare detailed incident and activity reports for all daily and emergency events. </li><li> Collaborate with emergency services and support staff as needed. </li><li> Promote a safe and inclusive environment while adhering to Paladin and client policies.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Must meet eligibility criteria for the <strong>Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP)</strong>, including: </li></ul><ul><li><strong>Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency</strong></li><li> Continuous residence in Canada for the past five (5) years </li><li> Clean <strong>credit</strong> and <strong>criminal</strong> record </li><li> Ability to provide <strong>three personal</strong> and <strong>three professional references</strong></li></ul><ul><li> Proficiency in <strong>computer literacy</strong> (CCTV, access control, and report writing software) </li></ul><ul><li> Ability to <strong>sit, stand, and walk/climb stairs</strong> throughout the facility and push a minimum of 25 lbs </li><li> Minimum <strong>six months of security experience</strong> and <strong>six months of customer service experience</strong></li><li> Valid <strong>Ontario Security Guard License</strong> and <strong>First Aid & CPR Level C</strong> certification </li><li> Proficient in <strong>English (oral and written)</strong></li><li> Must be able to work <strong>overnight shifts</strong> and <strong>weekends</strong></li><li><strong>Legally authorized to work in Canada</strong></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><ul><li>Certifications in <strong>Use of Force (UOF)</strong> and <strong>Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)</strong></li></ul><p> Applicants who do not possess UOF/MOAB certifications may complete Paladin’s pre-employment training (covered with a six-month commitment)</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Health Care </li><li>Growth Opportunities </li><li>Opportunities for Training and Professional Development </li><li>Competitive Salary and Benefits Package </li><li>Free Uniforms </li><li>Security License Reimbursement </li><li>Dry Cleaning & Tailoring Allowance </li><li>Paid Vacation & Sick Days </li><li>Daily Pay Option (“Work today, get paid today”) </li><li>Additional Perks</li></ul></p></p>
