<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><b><strong> </strong></b></p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION</strong></b></p><p> </p><p> </p><p><b><strong>JOB TITLE</strong></b></p><p>Heat Treater Assistant</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>JOB TYPE</strong></b></p><p>Part-Time/Full-time, Permanent</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>LOCATION</strong></b></p><p>Bayson Heat Treating</p><p>2144 Jetstream Rd, London, ON N5V 3P5</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>REPORTS TO</strong></b></p><p>President – Lead Heat Treater</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>SHIFT HOURS</strong></b></p><p>Mon – Fri: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (REVIEW WITH MARK BATES/ONGOING)</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION</strong></b></p><p>The plant operates at a fast pace with several types of machinery running at the same time.  A high alertness level is absolutely required.</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES</strong></b></p><p><b><strong>(**TRAINING <span >REQUIRED/PROVIDED**)</span></strong></b></p><p> </p><p>·         Set up and operation of furnace</p><p>·         Re-light furnace burners when required</p><p>·         Load and unload furnaces</p><p>·         Operate overhead crane and forklift</p><p>·         Quench forging product</p><p>·         Fill quench tanks</p><p>·         Check hardness of forgings</p><p>·         Grind pieces as required</p><p>·         Sandblasting</p><p>·         Ensure <span >documentation/record</span> keeping is accurate and up-to-date</p><p>·         Maintain housekeeping in Heat treat area</p><p>·         Ability to lift as required</p><p>·         Load and unloading of furnaces</p><p>·         Racking and unracking of projects</p><p>·         Shipping and Receiving duties</p><p>·         Perform additional responsibilities as required and appointed by management</p><p>·         Work various shifts with little supervision</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><b><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></b></p><p> </p><p>·         Working around and in extreme high temperatures</p><p>·         Standing 8 to 10 hours per day</p><p>·         Walking 8 to 10 hours per day</p><p>·         Ability to push and pull weights to a maximum of 1000 lbs</p><p>·         Walking/carrying with weights from 0 lbs to 50 lbs</p><p>·         Ability to work productively within a small shop setting</p><p>·         Alertness of operations for health and safety of self and fellow workers</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><b><strong>ABOUT US</strong></b></p><p>Bayson Heat Treating has been in business since 1974 providing Metal Finishing/Heat Treating services for businesses throughout the Southwestern Ontario area.  Provide services that add value to products by altering their physical properties, such as metal hardening and heat treatment.
