We are a fast-growing company offering exceptional career opportunities, driven by major global trends. </p><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a<strong> Mechanical Engineer</strong> to join our team. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the detailed design of our systems. You will work in multi-disciplinary teams while being trained and mentored by senior leaders. To excel in this role, you must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and a creative problem solver.<br><br><strong>Mechanical Engineers at Saltworks make a positive contribution by:</strong></p><ul><li>Translating process designs into code-compliant, fabrication-ready mechanical systems using SolidWorks, while ensuring mechanical integrity and adherence to relevant codes.</li><li>Participating in collaborative design sessions with multi-disciplinary teams to meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements while identifying risks and opportunities.</li><li>Preparing accurate fabrication drawings using GD&T, and maintaining both internal and external engineering documentation.</li><li>Supporting Production by delivering clear, build-ready documentation and assisting with on-site or shop floor troubleshooting when needed.</li><li>Maintaining and improving the CAD database and design standards.</li><li>Taking full ownership of the physical integrity and performance of assigned designs.</li></ul><strong>You will be a great fit if you have:</strong><ul><li>A degree in Mechanical or Integrated Engineering. </li><li>1-3 years of relevant post-graduation work experience.</li><li>Registration as an EIT through EGBC or another Canadian engineering regulator.</li><li>Proficiency in SolidWorks, including routing, large assemblies, weldments, sheet metal, drawings, and PDM systems.</li><li>Familiarity with industrial plant design, including P&IDs and concurrent engineering practices.</li><li>Experience using PLM (e.g., Aras Innovator) and ERP systems.</li><li>Knowledge of applicable piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, BPVC, CSA B51-14). </li><li>Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Experience designing structural frames and/or high-pressure stainless steel piping systems (an asset).</li><li>Knowledge of design for assembly and LEAN methodologies (preferred).</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to hands-on work when required.</li><li>Willingness to travel occasionally to sites within North America as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Why join Saltworks?</strong></p><p>We have an outstanding team that is passionate about innovation and solving key environmental challenges facing our planet.</p><p>Join a team pioneering the future of water and lithium.
