About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Machine Learning Software Developer II to join our Computer Vision team in Montreal, QC. In this role, you will develop robust, scalable, and efficient ML infrastructure and data pipelines necessary to train, evaluate, and deploy advanced computer vision models. You’ll collaborate closely with talented scientists, engineers, and data specialists to enhance Hinge Health’s product offerings and improve the outcomes of our users. What You’ll Accomplish


  • Build, enhance, and maintain scalable ML infrastructure and data pipelines to support developing, evaluating, and deploying computer vision models.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, and data specialists to successfully deliver innovative computer vision solutions.


  • Develop and optimize systems for continuous integration, training automation, monitoring, and deployment (CI/CD) of ML models using TensorFlow, Keras, and MLflow on AWS and Databricks platforms.

  • Contribute to technical documentation and adhere to best engineering practices, ensuring maintainable, reusable, and reliable codebases.


  • Participate in new feature prototyping and proof-of-concepts leveraging leading-edge computer vision technologies, potentially including integrations of 3D pose estimation or related systems.


Hinge Health Hybrid Model


We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days/week.

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field

  • At least 2+ years of non-internship, full-time professional software development experience.


  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language and familiarity with frameworks such as TensorFlow and Keras.

  • Working experience building, managing, and optimizing ML workflows and experiments heavily leveraging MLFlow and Databricks.


  • Proven track record developing robust data pipelines, code architecture, and software systems in collaboration with data science and engineering teams.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior experience working in computer vision, 3D data, human pose estimation, or related AI/ML technologies.

  • Familiarity or hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure tools and automation, specifically AWS services and Terraform.



  • Experience working with innovative AI-driven editors and tooling (e.g., Cursor, Autoblocks) designed to enhance ML workflows.

  • Exposure or familiarity with complementary programming languages and frameworks including C# (Unity), C++, and React Native.




Compensation

This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $88,000- $132,000.
