We are currently looking for an IAM Security Operations Analyst to join one of our major clients in the financial sector in Montreal.


Role Overview:

You will join the Information Security and Risk team, which is responsible for managing security and cybersecurity-related risks across global business units. Within this organization, the Identity & Access Management (IAM) unit plays a key role in ensuring secure and compliant access to enterprise systems. This position focuses on IAM governance and operations, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, documentation, and continuous improvement. While the role is not hands-on in IAM technologies, it requires a solid understanding of identity management concepts and associated platforms. You will work closely with teams in New York, New Jersey, Paris, and Montreal, as well as with IT, SOC, and Information Security stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

IAM Operations & Governance:

  • Execute, monitor, and enhance IAM controls supporting regional business activities.
  • Analyze and document existing security controls in collaboration with global teams.
  • Support regulatory compliance by gathering and assembling audit evidence.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across regions to align IAM operations.
  • Produce and publish risk metrics and status reports for senior management.
  • Participate in risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support the development of regional IAM policies, standards, and roadmaps.
  • Promote adoption of IAM best practices, tools, and frameworks.
  • Stay current with evolving cybersecurity trends and technologies.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of operational reporting frameworks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical skills

  • Strong understanding of Active Directory (AD) and IAM governance principles.
  • Familiarity with CyberArk or other PAM solutions is highly valued.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX environments, databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL), and Azure is a plus.
  • Ability to assist with minor technical updates, process improvements, and automation support.
  • Not required to be a technical practitioner or expert on IAM tools (e.g., SailPoint) – conceptual knowledge is sufficient, and training can be provided.
  • Comfortable using standard office tools (Microsoft Office Suite).

Professional Experience


  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, risk, or IAM-related roles, preferably in a global or regulated environment.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision, managing tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-regional teams (Americas/EMEA).

  • Team player with a client-oriented mindset and openness to diverse perspectives.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certifications such as CCSK, Security+, ITIL, or CSX-F are a strong asset.
  • Formal training in information security tools and practices is preferred

Working Environment

  • Hybrid model: 2-3 days per week on-site in Montreal.
  • Candidate must be based in Montreal or willing to relocate.
  • Languages: Fluency in English required, French is a plus
