<h3>Job Description</h3>
<p>The role of the Catastrophe Claim Manager is to assist in the development of CAT response strategy in support of the achievement of ACG’s short and long term Mission, Vision and Strategic objectives. The role is accountable for supporting Claim strategies and programs to achieve maximum results and efficiencies through the analysis of reports, quality assurance work.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Take part in ongoing strategic improvements to best position the claim organization in responding to customers during Catastrophic events.</li>
<li>Identify industry trends to best support the Organizations CAT response across multiple lines of business.</li>
<li>Responsible for preparing executive reporting and analysis that is consistent with defined standards and processes.</li>
<li>Proficiency in change management.</li>
<li>Provide support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance in Catastrophic property claims situations.</li>
<li>Manage external and/or contract staff in service of our customers.</li>
<li>Provide an environment to foster best in class customer service.</li>
<li>Responsible for implementing best practices based on company goals.</li>
<li>Determine and delegate claims settlement authority to claims representatives.</li>
<li>Provide technical guidance to staff on claim investigation, reserving evaluation and resolution of claims.</li>
<li>Partner with Claims Intelligence team to produce necessary results and trending reports for leadership.</li>
<li>Manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of claims production.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other Claims and business leaders to define and drive enterprise initiatives.</li>
<li>Provide staff with standards of performance and inform them of job expectations.</li>
<li>Oversee monitoring and tracking of individual and unit performance against established productivity and quality metrics.</li>
<li>Identifying improvement opportunities and solutions through change or modification of existing quality and severity initiatives to improve results, including recommendations to modify best practices.</li>
<li>Assuring proper execution and regulatory/legislative compliance of claim procedures and practices and making process recommendations to ensure full compliance to requirements.</li>
<li>Providing input and participation for government, industry and other related organizations and committees to positively influence claim problems and practices.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>CIP/FCIP designation preferred.</li>
<li>10 or more years of experience in property claims.</li>
<li>Understanding of legal principles across all national jurisdictions.</li>
<li>5 or more years of experience in property claims management is an asset.</li>
<li>Experience in training and coaching.</li>
<li>Advanced writing skills.</li>
<li>AMF License a benefit.</li>
