Job Summary: We are seeking a Level 2 NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Welding Specialist to join our manufacturing military defense client's team located in Ingersoll, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing NDT inspections on welded structures and materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and military specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of welding processes, NDT techniques, and attention to detail to maintain the highest level of quality and safety in a defense environment.


Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Job Location: Ingersoll, ON

Shift Structure: Days to start before transitioning into rotational shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Non-destructive Testing activities for the Ultrasonic Testing and Magnetic Particle Testing methods.
  • Must maintain their professional certification by participating in and successfully completing all certification, recertification, and certification maintenance protocols.
  • Must meet the minimum visual acuity requirements of our client's NAS410 program
  • Be familiar with the scope of limitations of the technique/method
  • Have basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology
  • Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable approved procedure & technique
  • Have the skills and knowledge to process parts, document results and perform equipment standardization in accordance with approved work instructions
  • Have the skills and knowledge to carry out any necessary preparation of parts before or after testing in accordance with approved work instructions
  • Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard
  • Receive guidance or supervision from a certified Level 2 or Level 3 in that method when necessary.


Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2-year Engineering Program Graduate or valid CGSB/ISO NDT certification.
  • 40 hours of recognized formal training in the UT method and 200 documented and verifiable experience hours in the UT method or hold a valid Level 1 certification in the UT method from a recognized body such as CGSB/ISO or ASNT.
  • Must be flexible to do rotating shift work as required.


Controlled Goods Requirement:

  • Must be either a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen.
  • Must have worked in Canada the last 5+ years.
  • Must not have left Canada for more than 6 months in the last 5 years.
  • Must not have filed bankruptcy in the last 7 years.
  • Must be willing to pass a clean criminal background.
  • Must have at least 1 work reference and 2 personal references.
